WebAug 25, 2024 · Marlin has a feature, that you can enable in the advanced configuration file, called "extruder advance" or "linear advance". It looks at the acceleration/deceleration of the extruder, and advances the extruder a few extra steps when the speed increases, and backs it off again as the speed decreases. WebSpeed, acceleration and Marlin-jerk are taken form the Prusa MK3S presets in PrusaSlicer (100 mm/s, 1000 mm/s², 8 mm/s), where the speed is a compromise between speeds for different print moves. The dynamics are modeled as a single degree of freedom harmonic oscillator with base excitation.
